Noche de los Museos (Night of the Museums)
As promised, here is more of the cultural stuff going on in Buenos Aires - Noche de los Museos (Night of the Museums) Buenos Aires, Argentina
National Geographic recently mentioned this humble blogger not just once but twice for Free things to do in Buenos Aires
There maybe no such thing as a 'free lunch' but on Saturday, November 15th, 2008, most of the museums in Buenos Aires will be open from 7pm - 2am (yes am) for free. Add to this the free concerts of all varieties of music from classical to jazz to rock to tango. Public transport to get to the various venues is free. The whole thing finishes off with a kick ass open air party down by the docks in Puerto Madero with bands, DJ's, dancing and as is typical in this neck of the woods it goes till dawn and oh yeah, I forgot to mention - it's free. Click here for more details for free.

Oh,Yeah~ I saw the National Geographic's page which mention your blog!
Good job,Quickroute! I hope I can do as good as you!
A Night of the Museums sounds a great idea. They never had anything like that in London and it wouldn't work in Belfast because there's only one museum which is closed for renovation and expansion! A Night of the Art Galleries would be good, we've got plenty of those.
Kudos on the mentions!
(Can an Irish say kudos?)
Hey hey hey . . yer famous! Pitty the air fare isn't free, I'd be there in a heartbeat!
@iWalk: Thanks - my 15 seconds of fame
@Nick: Some of the Art galleries will be free too
@Xbox: We;re Irish - we can say whatever the hell we want
@Baino: Searching airfares right now for a trip and yer right it's bling bling!
Just read the article last night. You're famous!
Cheers
All Museums free here,all the time and well worth a visit
Awesome stuff on the NatGeo mention. Very impressed.
Just fyi: we have friends considering a trip to BA over the holidays. Told them they need to read this blog first.
@TCL: Cheers guv
@Roy: I'm their in a heat beat - just need a little help with the taxi fare
@Wandermom: Thanks for pluggin' me!
I’m an American expat living in Madrid and have enjoyed “Noche de los Museos” here for the last several years. It’s a great way to get the citizens involved with their city’s culture.
@Casas rurales: Welcome and thanks for dropping in. I've heard several cities around the world do similar museum nights - I think it's a great idea to mix culture with nightlife as the two are sometimes far removed
